…graduated in 2002 from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology. She obtained her Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University in 2006. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist in the State of North Carolina. Amy joined the CBT Center in 2018 and utilizes empirically-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with her clients.
For the last ten years she has concentrated on treating adults with various mood, anxiety, trauma, and addiction disorders. Amy has professional experience working with individuals across the life span in various treatment settings to include: inpatient and medical detoxification units, emergency-based psychiatric evaluation and crisis stabilization centers, office-based outpatient clinics, and community-based outreach services. She approaches therapy from a trauma-informed and client-centered stance that is nonjudgmental, collaborative, and motivational.
