Anne Wells, LCSW, LCAS
Anne Wells received her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Western Carolina University and her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from NC State University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS).
Anne comes to the CBT Counseling Center with a range of clinical knowledge in treating depression, bipolar disorder, anger management, substance use, anxiety, insomnia, and trauma and stressor-related disorders. She has extensive experience working with individuals who have served in the military, first responders, and their families.
She provides the following evidence-based treatments to her clients: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD. Anne also incorporates Community Resiliency Model (CRM) and mindfulness-based techniques. She uses a patient-centered and strengths-based approach to tailor treatment to the needs of each client.
