Anne Wells, LCSW, LCAS
Anne Wells received her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Western Carolina University and her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from NC State University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS).
Anne works with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, anger, substance use, insomnia, OCD, and trauma and stressor-related disorders, such as PTSD. She also works with individuals who are in a period of transition and in need of someone to support them during challenging times. She has extensive experience working with individuals who have served in the military, first responders, and their families.
She provides the following evidence-based treatments to her clients: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression, anxiety, and insomnia, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) Therapy for OCD, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD. Anne also incorporates Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM), harm reduction, and mindfulness-based techniques. She uses a patient-centered and strengths-based approach to tailor treatment to the needs of each client. Anne strives to create a warm, non-judgmental, and supportive environment where you can feel safe to work through any obstacles you may be experiencing.
