Brady Yocom, PhD
Brady has been trained in evidence-based practices including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients with a broad range of concerns. She often incorporates mindfulness and other skill-building to help clients manage symptoms and cope with life’s stressors. Brady views clients as whole people in the context of their lives and collaborates with clients in setting goals and choosing an approach to therapy. Brady’s professional interests include mood and anxiety disorders, mindfulness, LGBTQ+ issues, goal-setting, time management, couples therapy, and group therapy. Brady values and respects differences and strives to create a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment for all.
Brady earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from University of Miami and her B.A. in psychology from Rutgers University. Brady has provided individual, couples, and group counseling to adults in a variety of settings including Miami’s Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center and a number of university student counseling centers. Brady has completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
