Jennifer Liotino, LCMHC
Jennifer enjoys working with families, children, adolescents and adults with a variety of clinical issues related to trauma, abuse, addictions, pervasive developmental disorders, attachment disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, grief/loss, life transition, divorce, self-esteem, and family issues. She takes an eclectic approach to therapy, including CBT, attachment based therapy, trauma therapy, and emotionally focused therapy. She also finds satisfaction in working with Adult Children of Alcoholics and relating issues.
Jennifer graduated with a Masters of Arts Degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology in 2004 from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA. She interned at Victim Services Center, where she used supportive, empowerment-based counseling and cognitive behavioral therapy to assist adults, children, and families in overcoming the pain of violence and trauma. After graduation, she worked as an Outpatient Mobile Therapist/Behavior Specialist Consultant, provided intensive therapeutic services to children and their families in the home, school and community settings, using a variety of strengths-based modalities/interventions.
After moving to NC in 2012, Jennifer worked with adult and teen clients in private practice setting and also continued working as a school based therapist, providing trauma informed therapy, CBT, and solution focused therapy. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a National Certified Counselor.
Jennifer lives in Mooresville, NC with her husband and two children, ages 13 & 14. In her free time, Jennifer likes to hike, spend time on Lake Norman, travel, and read.
